Western Digital WIR or just return it? - seyeji6422@asoflex.com - 02-05-2024 I have a 500gb WD hard disk and i want to buy a 5TB Hard Disk (same model, different memory size). Is it better to claim WIR or just return the 500gb one? I noticed the hard disk has a S/N on a removable label, shoud i swap the labels to be sure? RE: Western Digital WIR or just return it? - Elsdebo - 02-05-2024 For WIR you need to make another order on another account with diff address, similar weight, etc. Search for posts by Mothered on 'Wrong Item Received'. It's a good method, but for something 'low value' as this, I imagine they are not going to match shipping orders. And just count is as a refund and put a small flag on your account. If you are proficient enough to open box and swap the labels without a trace, do that. Be carefull not to scratch with razor, use heatgun or maybe use special glue dissolver. It's prob the easiest way if you don't have access to other amazon accounts. By the time they find out you returned a wrong item, they might not take the effort to flag your account. Just my thoughts. |
