Paypal UA easy resell - frankovec - 02-03-2024
Planning on doing about 4k$ order of 2 gold bars with a store that i found accepts paypal, about 95% of them dont because of chargebacks...
My plan is to go to a public cafe without cameras, use their wlan and an old comp and the use sms verification to login to my pp and confirm the purchase, because phones can show a brief message without being unlocked, which is just enough to read the code and login.
I am planning on buying gold and shipping the item to another address, but i wanna know the implications of such action, does anyone have any useful information? When do i open paypal UA dispute? after the goods are sent or delivered? Do they launch an investigation on where the goods were delivered to?
Is there any other easier method than buying gold and reselling it? I dont wanna deal with any electronics because its stressful selling that stuff...
Since UA needs to be done once everywhile i dont wana test it with a small order but wanna try something medium like a few k.. worst case scenario, i sell the gold and dont actually lose that much, but am affraid they might launch an investigation to my friends house where it would be delivered... Does it make any sense to add a burner phone sim number and a fake address to the order?

Definitely use a burner phone and a fake name for the order if you plan to say your pp account got stolen.
For the address, they could do some sort of investigation since it's not really a low amount, if you want to ship to your friends house you should instruct him to take the package and then, if someone comes to his door asking about that, say that he never received it, never heard of the name on the package or the phone number.
Never tried doing such a big pp chargeback, don't know if it's risky (and worth it) or not.
Best case they give your money back and you sell the bars.
Worst case they deny the refund and open an investigation.
