RE: DNA Tricks .. - Roadman - 01-20-2024 I enjoy your threads especially your previous one regarding your successful Amazon refund, but why do you type like that? You're a good guy posting your experiences for the community with many threads under your belt, but why do you type like that? I'm not even telling you to stop. Do your thing, I just want to know why. As always, thanks for the tips. RE: DNA Tricks .. - Elsdebo - 01-20-2024 Sprinkle some hints he is calling a wrong number, but let him put the pieces together. And get rid of the habit of answering your phone with your name permanently, it is of no benefit to anyone. The first thing you say should be "Good afternoon, what can I help you with?" If he asks for your name, you just repeat "What can I do for you?". By this point you already know it is someone calling serious. You do not confirm your identity because you'll need deniability in the next step. In short, turn all of your replies into questions. "Excuse me, what is this call about?" Eg: you: "Hello?" Driver: "Am I speaking with Nader?" you: "What can I do for you?" Driver: "I call you because package XXX is empty and I suspect you of wrongdoing etc etc" you: "Sorry sir, I think you have the wrong number. People confuse the 3 and the 5 every time. I keep getting called by random people. Who gave you this number?" Driver:"Its on the package you filled in etc etc" you: "But I am not 'Nader'! Actually I am pretty fed up with it. So state your business or I'll hang up and block your number". You hang up the phone. |
