Logitech warranty claim - rudar133 - 11-24-2023

So, my mouse adapter stopped working, and I asked Logitech for a replacement. They just sent me a new mouse. So, I was thinking that I could do the same with other products. I found a serial number on the marketplace, but they informed me that the serial number had already been registered and that my receipt wasn't valid. I photoshopped the original receipt, only changing the name of product, but they said that it's not valid. So, I was thinking that I could purchase any product from a retailer, get the original serial number and receipt, and then inform Logitech that it doesn't work, returning the product within 14 days. Has anyone tried anything like this? Does anyone have experience with product exchanges, or do they just send you a new one? In my case, they sent me a new mouse, but it was only worth $50. I'm considering trying my luck with a G29.

You told them that just your mouse adapter stopped working? Did they need a serial number for your mouse or anything like that?

What information did they require from you?

Logitech in my experience always been extremely inconsistent

Yes i just tell them that adapter is not working. I need to send serial number and receipt, not even any picture. But most important is that prduct is registered on you g hub account, otherwise it won't work.

I think that it doesn't need to be linked to your account. I is just need to not be linked to any other account.
So you will buy from retailer and then return?

Which problems could we run into by doing it this way?

The only problem i could think of if anyone buy the same devices after you they can't use warranty and logitech can contact you. And I don't know for sure if you need to exchange product, or they will just send you new one.

RE: Logitech warranty claim - Gavc68 - 11-26-2023

They will ask you to return it to the merchant if it's still within a 30 day return period.
Also they always send out new items.

You can just say that you already contact retailer and they said that you should contact logitech. I try this and it always work, But a i think the most important part is that serial number isn't registered.
