What do you personally get out of social engineering? - ExOP1tica - 11-23-2023

Aside from the obvious of course, I'm speaking to the emotional gratification.

Are you doing this for fun, because it excites you? Do you participate for any reason other than "free stuff"?

Just curious  Tongue, looking forward to reading your thoughts.

I'll answer first:

I find it incredibly gratifying in such a different way than playing a videogame or writing a good song. Each SE is a complex puzzle, and the risk gets me out of bed to solve it. I suppose I'll need to go over the feelings of superiority in therapy  Confused.

Big entities are allowed to hire a team of psychologists to Social Engineer your family and friends out of money. Gaming addiction, services for elderly, television, junk... whatever the hype.
And even now the taxman is fucking over its citizens with inflation, all run by a club of whitecollar friends and nepotism who want to make sure they stay comfy.
But if the small guy resists: social exclusion, endless bureaucracy, poverty or straight to jail!

And yeah it's a bit of a puzzle Smile which is nice.

For me I get excited that I got something I wanted for free. Then that excitement ends extremely quick and I'm left thinking wow this shit is so worthless that I got it for free.

It has really helped me with money, I am able to do more fun things now because I have more money to fuck around with.

I have never been some activist or some bullshitter that's going to pretend I get excited fucking over big companies Or I'm fighting back for the little guys! I don't care that big companies are fucking people sideways, Not to say that I like it but I understand that I'm not doing any damage to companies I'm just getting free shit that I like or I'm getting expensive shit and in selling it for shit that I like

Might seem like im trying "to be the better person" But i swear to you i am definetly not. I emjoy helping the people around me get their hands on the stuff they really want without having to to pay the full price for them. Also its a pretty easy way to make a little bit of money on the side.
