Garmin SN UK Success - cdh13 - 10-24-2023

Seen some hit Garmin a while back and thought I would try it myself,

Stages of the SE;
-Acquired SN from a random eBay ad and  used Garmin's online chat to complain it was faulty after "1 month of use"
-Was told I should be able to receive a replacement once i returned the "faulty item" and was given a prepaid label to return my "faulty item"
-Used FTIDv3 for the first time even though I was skeptical
-"Item" was delivered by UPS within approx. 3 days
-I waited around 7 days and called up to ask about the status of my replacement - they said "We'll get it sorted asap".... they didn't.
-It took a total of 4 weeks, a couple of phonecalls, a generated Amazon receipt and some nicely crafted emails before I was finally rewarded with a brand new watch in the mail.

-Value; £400
-Difficulty; 6/10

I wouldn't attempt this again tbh, It was a long, drawn out process which required me to argue my case over and over again.
Thankfully the SE succeeded so it was worth it.

Thanks for the report. What did you use for the receipt generation? Receipt mansion?

While we understand that some individuals may try different approaches to resolve issues with their products, it is important to note that engaging in fraudulent activities, such as claiming a product is faulty when it is not, is not ethical and can have legal consequences.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Where was the SN? I thought, for Garmin, this can only been seen in the app, ie it’s not on the watch itself.

Do you enjoy your job of trying to catch other ordinary people just looking to make a few extra bucks, while your boss sits idly getting fatter by the day?
