Amazon Police Report - bobcoy - 10-05-2023
I have an authentic police report from my PD. When I called and asked for a refund, the agent told me they couldn't find the number for the department on the report and asked me to provide it.
Could I edit the report as a template and just put a fake number and disguise my voice on the other line?

This has definitely worked in the past. Just act like you're a police officer answering a call pretty much.
Amazon is so ridiculous that it has come to a point where a legitimate police report doesn't get accepted, but a fake/altered one does.

Thing is I saw another poster claim that Amazon instead directly searches for the police department number on Google instead of using the one on the report. Just wanted to get a consensus on whether this was true or not, or if I just got lucky with a dumb rep.

It's true, Amazon does look on Google to verify for number. But amazon reps being dumb and using the number on the report only is true as well.
So take the 50-50 gamble and put your number and have them call you.

Just give it to them and let them do their needed stuff. you've already done the PR so you may as well utilise it and let amazon call them to do their own checks.
