Declaration forms? - impatient - 09-24-2023

So, I am planning to SE this shop that I called to report that the parcel was not delivered. My neighbour signed for it and now am doing DNA.

The person on the phone sounded annoyed and highlighted that I will have to sign a declaration form of non receipt of goods, but said that if I'm found to be lying they will take legal action. What does this even mean and what is the situation with non receipt of goods forms?

Taking legal action sounds like bluff from them, yet if they seem too stubborn (small store?), make sure this specific SE is actually worth pursuing.

The funny thing is that it's a big store! What kind of legal action? Has this happened to you?

I believe it's just the store claiming loss insurance so that's why they make you sign it.

Is there a way to prove that they actually received the parcel? To my knowledge, I don't have it Sad

If it's a big store (i.e. they can take the loss), then consider it an administrative thing for their insurance.

This.

Only you can know, review the slightest details of your claim.
Your neighbour receiving the package is kinda stinky tbh, possible trouble down the line.

Has anyone experienced any stores going after them -legally speaking- because of a false claim?

Unfortunately, Mothered is currently inactive, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
