I don't really mind filing one aslong as the cops or driver don't show up at my door. Also I forgot the process of how to do it... do you just show amazon the police report?

If they ask for it (most likely will, expensive item), yes, file it then send it to them. They will call PD to check it's genuine, then refund.
Slight chance the driver will come back for you (use a drop), virtually zero chance LE will show up.

Prior to all this, make sure there's no OTP required upon delivery.

Many threads mention it. Infos are spread out but it's all there if you search for it.

Any way around an OTP?

Theoretically, yes. Practically, no.
You would need to make up some wild excuse to have the driver leave without it.

I am in Canada, too.
If you’re gonna DNA I would only do it if the package is left on your doorstep without a signature.

The last thing you want is filing DNA but the delivery driver specifically remembers handing it to you and you signing for it, there’s a good chance he’s gonna come back to your house to question you. Wouldn’t you if you worked his job?

Where as if you claim you never received it, maybe you got home from work 4 hours after the driver delivered it and it’s gone. Who’s to say you’re lying?

I did an RTX 2080 super when they released a year or 2 ago and it was about $1400 CAD. Fully refunded no problem but I had a 6+ year amazon account without any DNA claims.

I also DNA’d a $550 cpu from Bestbuy without any issue.

yes that's true. I don't really mind if the delivery person comes and questions. I am inclined to try but the problem is the otp. Because it says there will be a signature or otp required...
