Edgy Horror Movies 🩸 - EdenSlate - 09-14-2023
Did check the existing threads, some good suggestions yet nothing too edgy overall.
Film industry is arguably at an all time low in 2023, yet past years brought us some gems in the horror genre.
I'll start with my humble list:
Quote:Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010)Most of them are NOT easy to watch, don’t expect some chill popcorn time with friends.
The Babadook (2014)
It Follows (2014)
The Visit (2015)
The Witch (2015)
The Strangers (2016)
The Ritual (2017)
Hereditary (2018)
Midsommar (2019)
Not that they are particularly scary, but they do require some mental commitment lol.
List far from exhaustive, missing some promising ones I have yet to watch from A24 (Under The Skin, The Lighthouse, X, ...).
Would love to hear some reviews if you watched them!

Out of all the horror movies you listed, Hereditary is the most memorable movie for me.
An exceptional, chilling masterpiece. One of the best psychological horror movies I have ever seen.
