what sparks the need to code in you? - Dev - 11-11-2013

Usually i'll be thinking of something I could make & the benefits I could offer to some of my following.. I am still intermediate in some code & Programming aspects.

if i'm watching something on T.V. & I even think about an element I can edit to make it easier I have to run off & dig into it..

Sometimes conversations I have with people

or

smoking some ganja

i'm just always so curious, I think about code daily & dream about it monthly.

Sometimes i'll be doing a make-shift project to grow something easier & i'll get sidetracked with a thought process & i'll begin to obsess if I can make it work with an exploit I found or something of that nature.

I prefer injecting my ganja but that's just me.

Anywho I code (script) mostly when I need to automate something that would otherwise be a bitch to do manually.

Ordinarily, what makes me want to code is improving upon systems already in place. If I see something that's broken or poorly implemented, I can't help but want to dig into the source and find a way to improve or fix it.

When it comes to projects from scratch, most things involving databases and archives really get me pumped. I always feel this urge to go and archive the most trivial things, as long as there's some sort of demand for it. Procedural generation of different things also leads to very neat toy programs and I love finding new ways to implement random number generation. Beyond that, if there's a demand for something by even a small number of people, chances are I'll feel compelled to at least draw up some sort of design for the software.

Did someone call me?

I code when I'm bored. It gives me a certain joy...

Seeing a program and trying to replicate it or coming up with an idea and not finding a previous program with similar functionality.

My passion for knowing how things work.
Also, I'm a very artistic person, I guess I need something to balance that off - logic.
