I recently bought a pair of shoes for €180 on the official New Balance website. I received them today and the delivery was made with UPS.
I'll give you a little background on how the delivery went:

You need to know that UPS can deliver my parcel to a parcel relay run by private individuals if I'm away, and they're not very far from where I live. Before this parcel, I received 2 parcels delivered by UPS (a Logitech mouse and a diesel belt). Although the mouse could have gone into my letterbox, the deliveryman chose to deliver it to the relay point out of sheer laziness, as did the diesel belt. So I took matters into my own hands for my NewBalance parcel and contacted the person at the parcel relay to tell him not to accept my parcel and to tell the deliveryman to come and deliver it to my house (which trigger him LOL). So I heard the deliveryman ring the bell at the bottom of my building, and I joined him on the stairs to collect my parcel. He didn't take any photos and I didn't have to sign anything. However, on the UPS website it says that the package was delivered and signed for by me (it wasn't).  There was no call between me and the driver, and he only briefly saw my face.

After reading the thread, I'm rather hesitant to make a DNA. After all, I don't think I live in the same country as the author of the post, so I don't know...

I carefully removed the Scotch from the package, leaving no trace, and it turns out they used clear scotch tape and I have some at home. I could do something with that, right? Furthermore, I was thinking of putting on some old shoes, resealing the package perfectly and sending them back to NewBalance. Or I could say I received old shoes and see what they say next.

Granted everything that happened on this thread https://sinister.li/Thread-New-Balance-SE-Your-request-is-closed?pid=1282253#pid1282253 and information given on my thread. What would be the best way for me to proceed?
