Need tips after RTS Scan - laprincessepeach - 06-19-2023

Hello everyone,

I'm currently trying to get a reimbursement for a refurbished iPhone 14.

I bought it on BackMarket(dot)fr and got it on 31st May.

I ordered a RTS Refused scan (Colissimo) and I got it completed after 2 days. The tracking number shows the package being delivered to sender.

From that moment to the present day, they keep asking for ID, proof of residence and statement (which have been sent to them) for a "internal investigation with the carrier".

What are my options now? And should I wait or can I/should I ask for a chargeback (if yes, how)?

Thanks in advance

you should've waited longer before contacting them. I mean act like you're really in this situation? Act really frustrated and build in some swear words. Threaten to file a charge back with your bank or even report them to the police.

I'm very surprised they didn't ask you to submit a police report

I don't recommend doing anything with backmarket or sending the ID and other information, because they are not like Amazon and take everything seriously, so don't be surprised that you don't get a refund and get reported to the police for doing shady things with the tracking. As I said, their support is not that dumb compared to Amazon, the people that sell refurbished iPhones are doing it for a living and have their business to run.
