Amazon question - The Fallen Angel - 06-04-2023

Hi there! I have a question. Please answer only if you are sure. So, in case I SE a mobile phone on Amazon, will it be locked by them once I got refund? I mean will they lock it by IMEI so I can not us it anymore? Thank you

There were signals that Amazon UK sometimes does blacklist IMEI, but bear in mind that IMEI blacklisting is country specific so if you are not a UK resident and will use/sell it outside that country then IMEI should be fully working

If it’s brand new phone, they could possibly do especially with Apple. But if it’s Refurb tech, they can’t.

Same question. Why not?

For amazon, If you’re planning to SE a brand new Apple item, most of their stock come straight from Apple warehouse. If you do SE a iPhone or MacBook, they could contact Apple to blacklist the item that has been lost/stolen but it’s not in every Coincidence especially if you’re doing MEB.

You’re good to go, the chances of the device/tech get blacklisted are low. Just don’t do directly from Apple themselves.

^ This.

As of late, I haven't received reports of blacklists taking place In the UK, but It was definitely the case many months prior.

Thank you. How about Samung and other android? Are the "more secure" regarding blacklisting?
