The sealed box method - SpIKeR - 05-23-2023

I recently read about the sealed box method (you take the item out then seal the box for example with plastic foil to make it look as if nothing has been done to it)
However, I'd like to know if you can be traced? Because the company is going to put the item back on sale.
Has anyone tried this with specifically iPhones or ipads?

From what I've seen here, Apple and Amazon opens sealed box to check

So Mothered's normal response to this is that the company will be able to see that you previously returned the item when the next customer opens it. But they won't know whether the 2nd customer is scamming them or you already did.

It's just a too risky method.

so they open it then seal it back again ? That seems like too much work. Hoverwer I don't want to do it in either amz or apple the company I am trying to do it with might not check.
Any ideas on how to test it out and recover in case they open the boxex ?

Use a cheap item that is very similar to the one you want. That way, if caught, you can say it was an accident

You can get caught so easily and you will be in some deep shit

Yeah I figured but it was heavily advertized on mothered's blog so I had to ask.

Thank you for your response nevertheless.

How? If anyone opens the sealed box in front of you, act normal ((how would you react if you genuinely received some other buyer's SE?)) & say that's how you receive it, they can't prove that you swapped it, worst-case scenario, they will just refuse the refund, but I'll still stand my ground as I've got nothing to lose, and for online SE, it's even tougher to prove who is the culprit as item touches many hands.
