Police report frequency - Equilibrium - 05-22-2023 I'm just here to ask how often people would suggest doing a police report if required. One a year? One every 6 month? Is there a maximum limit like once you hit 4 you should be leaving it a couple years? I know people will say use common sense but I'm by nature a very cautious person and would default to one every 3 years but I know others may have personal experience on how much it can be pushed. RE: Police report frequency - AlreadyRRich - 05-22-2023 There is no limits on how many PR you can make, but, do not give the police a reason so suspect you of fraudulent activity. If you report that your packages are stolen 5x times a month... Goodluck. It also depends in the area you live, if you live in a big apartment building, I'd like to think that you'd have more PR's to get away with than if you live in a house. I suppose depends on your area too if you live in a nice area it will stand out more. But say one every 6 months should be OK? And maybe every 2 have a cool off period where you leave it 9 months. RE: Police report frequency - ffeffffefff - 05-22-2023 Hard to say. I hate police and do everything I can not to bring them into my neighborhood, so I don't do PRs, but if I did, I would probably do 1 a year to be safe. RE: Police report frequency - ilikefudge - 05-23-2023 I have the same question. There's obviously a lot of factors, but I want to know if there's any actual risk if I have like 1 PR every 3-4 months. I think in that quick succession you'd get away with 2 but doing more would be pushing it. What's the odds of someone having that many issues with orders. I think maybe stick to 2 a year max. And if you've done like 4 maybe have a full year off just so it doesn't look like a pattern. The PR Is filed In the police database, regardless of where you reside. Like I just said regarding frequency, do not make them have a reason to suspect you of fraudulent activity. Stolen packages in apartment buildings happens more often than the ones left on house porch IMO, therefore logically would raise less suspicions if you were to fill more reports from apartment buildings vs house. It's common sense that If you file x-amount of PRs In close timing, It will definitely raise suspicion, Irrespective of your circumstances/surroundings. |
