Steam Deck SE Sucess?! - fyreEU - 05-18-2023 After 2 months of back and forth with steam I have finally been issued a replacement, however the rep still wants me to send back the original. I told him that the UPS centre wont accept my package as it has a swollen battery, but now he has sent a courier to my house to collect it (I told the courier that I didn't have anything to send him and it must be a mistake). I'm at a loss of what to do now. I want to end the SE on good terms because the only reason I went for the replacement method is so that I could use my main steam account on the replacement deck without it being potentially flagged etc. and I was gonna sell the original one to recoup the costs. Any ideas ? Originally you said the battery was swollen or did you tell them other stuff too? RE: Steam Deck SE Sucess?! - fyreEU - 05-22-2023 Any ideas on how to proceed ? RE: Steam Deck SE Sucess?! - fyreEU - 05-22-2023 When he sent the email informing me that he will issue a replacement and was sending someone over to collect the old one back, I replied with "I'm on holiday at the moment but will let you know when I'm home" So I'm thinking of 3 somewhat plausible excuses, 1. My wife threw it away because I told her I was being issued a replacement and she knew the old one was broken. 2. I took it the the post office one more time in a different city and they finally accepted it (Ofc I won't actually send anything, but I've already been issued the replacement so I guess he will just have to take my word for it?. 3. It set alight and had to be thrown out whilst I was away so I didn't catch any photos. Opinions? RE: Steam Deck SE Sucess?! - AlreadyRRich - 05-22-2023 Yeah I'm guessing FTID is your best bet here. RE: Steam Deck SE Sucess?! - fyreEU - 05-23-2023 It's UPS, I think they relabel plus @mothered would probably advise against it RE: Steam Deck SE Sucess?! - SpectreRFD - 05-23-2023 (05-23-2023, 02:16 PM)fyreEU Wrote: It's UPS, I think they relabel plus @mothered would probably advise against it Relabel happened with every carrier if your label is poorly edited & it's known that Mothered is against it, does not mean the method isn't working.
