Apple- Watch ultra MEB - Equilibrium - 05-14-2023
DPD delivered the parcel 20 minutes ago. Going to contact apple in about an hour claiming MEB. Dont wanna wait about too long as they only have a 14 day refund window if it goes south. Any suggestions on what to say or look out for? I know not to turn it on etc and just say everything was in the box apart from the actual watch face. What's the best response to if the packaging was damaged etc? And I'm counting on a PR being requested so when they do it I'm going to send them a link to my local department websitesaying civil disputes should be reported to trading standards to see if i can get by without but if not ill file it under stolen just to get a CRN.

Contacted apple. They requested multiple photos of apple box and shipping box and a PR. Mentioned that they don't issue for civil disputes but this didn't work as I got a generic PR request email. Contacted police they won't issue a CRN as the package wasn't tampered with, only gave me a log number. Emailed apple about this and expecting a shitty response RE the lack of CRN

I've emailed back saying escalate this to a supervisor and attached the email chain of the actual police saying due to no evidence of tampering they won't open a CRN but have supplied a log number. Told them how angry I am etc and how I've done everything they have asked for and the only way for me to get a CRN is to lie to the police about tampering.

As per your previous reply that I need a police report and the log number will not suffice. I have attached the email chain from the police after doing as you said and trying to file a report online. I can do no more as the police have literally said they don't issue reports or crime references for packages not tampered with. I can't do any more than that? Please escalate this to your supervisor as I'm getting very upset and frustrated now. I have received a package missing the main item of an order, complied with every request as you've made it and I can do no more. If I could get a Crime number I would but they won't issue one. Just short of lying to the police to say it has being tampered with I can't do anything else, so you would be suggesting for me to lie just to obtain one.

What country are you doing this from bro. If you don't mind me asking. That method about the trading standards is smart.

Latest update is some Indian guy from apple called me saying it was escalated to him this was 5minutes after the email so maybe doubt that, I spent 15 minutes arguing telling him I can't physically get a PR and they should call the station and they will validate all that I've said. Obvs they can't do that because that'd be too easy. Put up a brick wall about a PR. Contacted police again stating what they said and the police just said you can report it to action fraud but that's it.
Does anyone think this will work as I've seen before amazon don't accept action fraud? So I assume apple may be the same

Action fraud basically said it ain't fraud so can't do anything and it needs to be apple who do something and seemed genuinely confused as to why they have requested a PR. Back to emailing apple basically reiterating that I've tried everything and there's no more I can do. Webchat and phone were useless too they basically said they're just messengers and it's the support team on email that makes the decision

Suppose I'll have to Try next week when I have time to attend in person. For now I've asked the police if they can give me a pdf with stamp and signature stating what they've said over email.
