SE iPhone Ebay - dapperabroad - 05-02-2023

(DE-EU) I've gotten an order for an expensive item on a bay account made about 7 ish years ago from a company with. I have between 15-20 positive feedback reviews, no refunds. Obviously looking to SE it. There is a refunder who can do a bay scan for me although its 20%. I was wondering about doing it myself. DNA not possible as it will be signed for by PO personnel under my name. MEB not possible due to weight.

Item states 1kg on UPS label yet PO company weighed it at 500g, guessing 1kg was chosen because UPS online won't let you insert a decimal point. I was wondering if I could just photoshop a screenshot of this weight to be say 50g and say the item came tampered with to bay, in other words there was tape at the other end of the package and the clear film seal wasn't on it? Or maybe an even  simpler method would just photoshop the weight to be 50g and state no iphone was in the box and that the manufacturer seal wasn't on it, although I guess UPS would've weighed the package along its way to me? Or I could say the seller sent out a random item as to avoid any carrier investigation?

Im at a bit of a loss as to what to do here. I dont want to get the PO person in trouble as I use it frequently.  I suppose I could also try doing a return (seller provides return label) and use a refunder I know to make it LIT. Boxing with dry ice isnt an option as i cant get it, nor can i reseal it as i dont have a heat gun or the film. What do you think is my best course of action here? Thanks. @mothered

Forgot to add, seller has 20k plus reviews!

I’ve checked where the package was dropped off. It was at a customer centre, meaning the true weight of the package may have been recorded if the seller got a receipt. Therefore, the only thing I can think of doing is photoshopping the weight recorded by the PO Box company or just simply saying the package was tampered with. My final option is to use the refund guy. With this additional info, what do you guys think? @mothered

Looking further into it, the package label was made at 11 o clock but the origin scan was made 1 minute before the daily deadline for international orders. For a receipt he’d need the package to be scanned, so either it was a worker scanning things in before the deadline or he made it there last minute. Any experiences like this?

Sorry for another post, I remember seeing something where eBay are always on the buyers side, so maybe if I’m able to Return the box with the phone replaced with paper and replace the stickers very carefully with glue they may not even check it? Or I could photoshop an image of the back of the phone and claim I was sold a counterfeit item?

Have you considered using a drop house to accept the parcel?

Already have it in hand but yes, currently working on a method to create new accounts. What do you think I should do here? EB?

You can try to return it and do a different address to claim DNA, but that could take too long. I think you best bet is LIT or box method. Youcan try EB but that would be risky considering that it's probably overweight

See I was thinking EB as my PO box logs the weight of packages that have come in, so I could just provide a screenshot thats been photoshopped saying the package was 250g. On the package itself it says 1kg as the UPS label was bought online, so the only thing that could fuck me would be if they had a dropoff receipt with the weight recorded. I'll see if I can remove the seal + sticker carefully for boxing, but I'll have to restick it with glue. Is that okay?

I’ve gone ahead with the eBay refunder. Do you think this PO Box weight thing can be exploited though?

Please elaborate further.
