Is this unethical for a rolex? - Bossmanxm - 04-02-2023

So I'm looking to se a Rolex but the option I'm looking at is that I buy it through a second-hand website like eBay (without the authenticated guarantee sign) or something similar and then say it was a fake watch and send back a fake or saying they put trash in the box instead etc. Do you think this is fine to do or is it too risky or unlikely to work?

I feel like you would be targeting an individual seller in this situation, so yes.

To answer your question, yes this is extremely unethical and you should not do it. The person who loses out here is an individual like you and me and that is not something that is condoned round here. With that said, why not consider hitting Rolex directly or some other large retailer who sells them ?

^ @Bossmanxm, make a mental note of this and be sure to stick to It with future SEs.

If you're targeting a small-time seller, scummiest you can get. Worst case scenario, they have proof of purchase for the genuine article and they investigate.

Don't wear a Rolex unless you actually have money to. It comes across extremely tacky.

I have never done an individual before as I did think about how they would lose out compared to a large company hence why I never did it. I am however considering doing a watch retailer or something similar but Im just wondering if any if these methods would work or would it be too hard to do rolex

Absolutely spot on.

I keep reiterating to never target anyone on a personal level. Just like you and I, they too have bills to pay and mouths to feed.
