Successful EB for GPU from Amazon UK - poopypants11 - 04-01-2023 Just wanted to make a post about my first successful SE. I recently ordered an RTX from Amazon Warehouse, and was required to give an OTP. Once it was delivered, I waited about an hour to use the chat bot and claim I had received an empty box, and despite some people’s claims the refund was not automatic. I then had to call customer services and was told to file a PR. I bit the bullet and filed it, and a day later it was closed due to lack of leads. From there on I called Amazon pretty much every day asking for a refund, and this is where I would’ve done things differently: in the UK the Police is not able to give customer service associates info about your case due to data protection, which for some reason all but two customer support workers seem to ignore. So if they ask you to hold while they call the police dept, just tell them to make a 3 way call with the dept. A lot of workers will tell you this is not possible (that’s not true), so try escalate things and ask for the manager. From my (limited) experience, the manager actually knows how to do their job so they’ll get you on a 3 way call. Once on the call, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be a refund, so well done! As a side note I wouldn’t order from Amazon Warehouse again because from what I’ve read in a comment by @mothered , all their products go through rigorous inspection - I only found out after ordering. My next SE is going to be another GPU from Ebuyer, delivered by Yodel - am I clear to DNA if they ask for signature? RE: Successful EB for GPU from Amazon UK - Lupin - 04-01-2023 You can DNA even if a signature is required, but use a fake signature. Ensure that Ebuyer is responsible for loss of goods before pursuing your SE. |
