Amazon SE - Speccy1920 - 03-30-2023

Hi all,
Relatively new to the SE Scene and a new member of sinister! Have some experience of doing this before, didn’t quite know it was SE back then however. Recently did a part return on JD delivery over the phone after they refused to give me a refund over email, and i’ve just placed an order on amazon marketplace for a dsquared hat Total £110, what i can find on the internet shows it to weigh 100g. I’m currently thinking about either dna, wir or eb this parcel, all depends how drop off goes and what would work best, but considering it’s a clean account with 3 years of history with no refunds, i expect it to be easy pickings. If anyone has any tips or things to watch out for, please feel free to leave them below.

The EB Is good to go.

Only on a non-OTP delivery.

Quote:wir
It still maintains a pretty good success rate with Amazon.

Thanks guys, between both of your replies that was kind of my understanding with it.
OTP continues to be my only fear, but i specifically targeted a store on amazon that doesn’t have the best history of ensuring the delivery of the correct goods to help boost my claim if that is the case.

I’ll update this thread with my success once i’ve received the item, and the method used along with any potential hiccups that may come my way.

@mothered So my package arrived today, the parcel stamp says it weighs 200g so i take it that’s eb out the window? someone in my house opened the door and a photo was taken although no clear evidence it was my house. However royal mail do use a gps system. the delivery driver also falsified a signature of mine to say it arrived. Any tips?

That's the shipping/gross weight, not the Item weight.

So there are no distinct markings that conclusively Identify It's your house In the photo?

Useless.

It cannot conclude person-to-person deliveries.

Good.

If need be, you can request a copy of the signature from the carrier's manifest which obviously won't match yours, hence you'll have solid grounds to claim nonreceipt of goods.

Thanks for that, reassures me a tad. Claimed it DNA, if i’m honest the company that i brought off of through amazon have awful customer service in the sense of minimal effort, to the point where they’ve asked me to contact the carrier on their behalf. Means i have to wait 48 hours to speak to an amazon representative but because it’s inconclusive, should be doable.

Thanks for the assistance, much appreciated. Still have these nerves that i imagine are part of it when being new to this.

RE: Amazon SE - Speccy1920 - 04-03-2023

Seller responded to me on amazon and told me to contact royal mail about it. As a business they should know royal mail doesn’t respond to its recipients. As any customer would be angry about such an awful response, decided to call amazon myself. they’ve sent an email to the seller and if i don’t have a satisfactory response from them within 48 hours it’s noted on my account i’m entitled to a full refund. obviously it’s not in my account yet, so as of yet not succeeded however i’m well on my way to £110 baseball cap being refunded.

Thanks for advice along the way.
