i loaned money from my national bank for the first time in my life ... they simply added it , a freaking bunch of numbers were updated instantly just like that ! how i didn't realize this before ...
paying interests over a bunch of digital numbers ? i feel terrified .
EDIT : i'm not complaining about paying interests as it was already in my prior knowledge that such thing is inevitable and this is how banks make money and such, but those ugly ideas that came across my head the way those numbers were simply added ...

There's no gold standard, but if it can be exchanged for goods/services then it isn't fake. What might be a significant amount to you, is not to them. Depending what country you live, the money is probably insured by the government.
I was surprised when someone I knew bought a $500k+ house last week. Lender only required proof they earned at least $10k/year, without checking assets.

To avoid paying only the Interest for x-amount of months/years, always repay more than the minimum requirement.

I'm impressed. In here, the monthly payback can't exceed 1/3 of your monthly income. Which limit the maximum you can ask, among others parameters.
