Xbox serial method for warranty exploitation advice - giacobmx - 03-18-2023
I found a serial number with valid warranty, i registered the xbox series x on my account and opened a warranty request. They sent me a prepayed Ups label to send it back. I prepared a box with 3 bottles of water that weight 4,45kg identical to the consolle weight. Then, i cutted the bottom of the box and resealed with a different color tape. So the weight remains the same and it looks like someone opened the box, took the consolle and put in the bottles. Could this work to get them to send a consolle to me ?

I didn’t understand well how ftid works and someone says it’s a bad method, do you think is better than the method i thought?
If yes, how would you put it in pratice?

In my opinion, they can't proove that you are the one who put those bottles in the box. Be sure not to let fingerprints on the bottles

I don't know if it's ironic haha, but I'm really serious about the bottles. You never know trust me. Imaging claiming that someone swapped ur xbox with bottles of water, but that ur fingerprints are on the bottles 🤡
Alright, for a xbox they dont give a damn. But for a really expensive item that may happen. As I said, you never know, so be careful in every situation (only my opinion)

I already sealed the box, I hope they don’t scan fingerprints like in CSI ahaha
I completely taped the bottles together (so they can’t move/make noise) with the same brown tape I used to reseal the box in the bottom (all the rest of the box is sealed with clear tape).
I filled the empty space all around the bottles with packaging foam/old boxes.
Before resealing with different tape, I also slightly ripped the box where it opens, as if someone put a hand inside to open a bit the box and look what there was inside.
