You do not need to order the socks. Just tell them the package was missing the Airpods and that's it. Tell them you received a package with only the cardboard Airpods case and not the airpods itself.

John Lewis use CCTV so they know what was packaged in the box. Don't try FTID them either as they are fully aware of it and threaten legal action.

I'd choose a different store. Heard so many failures from John Lewis. When I had a legit PEB it took ages to resolve and I only got the refund as they were able to verify thought the CCTV cameras one item wasn't packaged. They are a pain to deal with.

I did John lewis back in December for over 500 for fragrances. Evri lit. They have a limit of 500, and anything above gets investigated and so instant refunds are out of the window. Also, any apple product over 200 triggers an investigation too. They're well aware of eb, ftid etc, so pick your method carefully.
Like the other member said, they have cctv and I guarantee they'll say there was no tampering with the box, even though if u do manufacture empty box

I was going to use meb but dont really know what to use now.
