Keep or drop my class? - Falcon_DZ - 08-29-2013 I'm taking graphic design at my high school as a class. Only for the first semester. Here's the only problem, my teacher has never taught a graphics class before. We are using standard Windows XP dells. We don't have Photoshop, Cinema 4D or any other high end graphics programs, and with a new policy, we cannot use our phones or tablets to do our work on. I am asking you guys if I should stick with it and take the easy A, or drop it for a study hall to get a head start on my core class homework? Thanks, Falcon. RE: Keep or drop my class? - Nam Duong - 08-29-2013 If your teacher has no experience teaching design and graphics, and you don't have any high end programs, you should drop it. Practice helps you get better, a class just helps it a bit more, but if it's lacking basic essentials, then I would drop it. RE: Keep or drop my class? - Operate_DZ - 08-29-2013 Drop it. RE: Keep or drop my class? - Falcon_DZ - 08-29-2013 I have already filled out the form today at school. I just wanted to make sure it was the right choice. RE: Keep or drop my class? - YellowKnife - 08-29-2013 There is no point, because what will you learn from a teacher that doesn't know the subject, and a class that doesn't have the utilities at hand. RE: Keep or drop my class? - Sin - 08-29-2013 Drop it. You'll learn nothing with a teacher like that. Pick up a studyhall & keep up on your other classes man
RE: Keep or drop my class? - Harvey - 08-29-2013 I found 'graphics' was quite different to 'graphic design'. I was told that we would have W7's with Photoshop CS6, Illustrator, After Effects, and Cinema 4D. Yeah, that sucks dude. If you're not planning on using those tools later in the semester, drop that shit. Spares are FTW.
RE: Keep or drop my class? - Judas - 08-29-2013 Keep it. If you have the knowledge you imply you have, it's an easy A. |
