I'm looking to buy a new iPad and then return the box to amazon with my old iPad in it. I remember hearing about this method some time ago but I haven't been able to locate it.. i assume this method will still work IF the product is identical, but just wondering if i would have to make the box look like as if it has not been opened or can I return it with my old iPad inside it but the box has been opened? Will amazon serial number match the two ipads?
EDIT: TO clarify, the old iPad is a AIR 4th GEN and the one I want to get is the AIR 5th GEN (Look Identical, just the 5 is after and better battery), I just want a new one with a warranty and a new battery..
