Just curious if anyone has done it before and the outcome. On their website, they say if you receive the wrong item or damaged item, you can just go instore and return it for a replacement. I also called support and they said the same thing. But it just sounds too easy tbh.

They're accepting liability for Incorrect goods dispatched, so the WIR Is already 50% complete without making a start.

Alright, so I went ahead and started the SE, I received the laptop I will be trying to SE, and the laptop that I will be using to WIR will arrive tomorrow. Does anyone know if they check serial numbers if I turn on the lapotp? I know I should probably play it save and not turn it on until after a few days I receive the refund, but is it possible for them to check if I turned it on or not?

Be patient and wait for the claim to finalize.
