Fake police report work? - Georgesalo - 01-27-2023

Hello I ordered an Apple Watch from Amazon expect to arrive next week and planning to EB it. In my country you cannot fill online pr and tbh I don’t want to visit police station for such an item so if Amazon ask for pr I would like to fake it, does anyone have done it before? Also can someone send me his online pr to change the info….

Impossible I'm afraid. Amazon will verify case numbers to see (A) if it's legitimate, and (B) if the case information correctly correspond. Worse off, if you falsify a PR, you'll be facing more than theft/fraud if you get caught.

Indeed, not wise to fake a PR.

Never falsify a PR.

The above comments justify It perfectly.

i am curious to know whether lying on a pr is likely to have consequences. is the rule of thumb to just avoid them entirely?

A police report Is a legal document and If you falsify It, you've broken the law In doing so.

If the officer decides to take It further, the consequences speak for themselves.

In terms of social engineering without raising any suspicion whatsoever, there's no need to avoid a PR.

Is there any chance a police officer comes to your house or does anything after multiple Police reports filed at same address?

There's always a chance.

Proving any wrongdoing is another matter.

I have received a few reports over the years of the police taking the report further by contacting the SE'er asking all types of questions, but It's an extremely rare occurrence.
