Rebilling? - Jaccmcmcnn - 01-25-2023

Ive been hearing about more and more people getting rebilled weeks or even months after refunds. What are the chances that this will even happen?

Do you happen to know more details? Companies, methods of SE, price amount?

If it's done right where they don't know they have been hit you won't be rebilled no?

This is an interesting subject, I haven't seen anyone actually discussing it

It would be helpful to know a bit more information as to what shops/methods you're hearing about.

Rebills are definitely possible when SE-ing, but are almost exclusively a result of not covering all your tracks/not doing a good job.

Almost every time I've seen someone talk about a rebill, it has been FTID related, and that's not even something I've seen that often. The only other method I've seen leading to a rebill was Wayfair specific - and occurred when someone attempted to claim an item as damaged for a refund, but did not provide solid "proof" and photos of believable damage.

If a store doesn't know they've been SE'd, they have no reason to rebill, nothing has occurred. Take that as you will.

Didn't had any problems with Amazon.de.

I see, thanks for your input. So methods such as DNA, EB and SB are far less susceptible to getting rebills?

I think the discussions above made a good point that rebills could happen due to not covering the SE well enough. Due to the nature of the methods, I would assume DNA and EB are less susceptible to rebills. Curious about SB (maybe should always SB with fake creditials/cash).

Some companies require you to bring id when you make a return I believe. But I'm sure they won't have high enough suspicion to rebill you as the product could have been SB'd by anyone.
