Looking for recent Wayfair experiences - kyungchul - 01-19-2023

Hey folks!

It has been about 4 or 5 months since the last time I "hit" Wayfair, and I've been seeing a decent amount of claims here and in groups elsewhere that they have really "cracked down" lately and are not as advisable to attempt anymore.

Was hoping to see what the experiences have been for those who have attempted to SE them recently, say the last few months - using DNA, PEB, Damaged, not FTID - if anyone feels kind enough to share!

I figured they'd have to tighten up eventually - I damn near furnished my entire house with a mix of DNA/damaged through them the last few years - but as I have been looking to place another order or two for some necessities, I was hoping to see what I might need to expect before doing so again.

Thanks in advance!

You might here the sneakily whispers in the corner of those speaking about wayfair "private methods" and from what I can tell it seems to be legit. Good luck convincing anyone to let you in on the fun though, no matter how nicely you ask. I've tried poking my head in to see if anyone may let up the secrets but these things take speaking to the more generous se'ers on here, of which there are plenty. Not sure how tight wayfair has gotten but Id love to find out. Good luck!

To a large degree.

Since they were abused left, right, and centre around 7 months ago, they've significantly tightened their claim assessments.

I've read through a good deal of your recent comments on Wayfair/their tightening up, and I really appreciate the info.

Sounds like the days of "shaky terrible blurry photo" passing on a damaged claim are long gone, but that if you take the time to do it skillfully, you still have a shot.
They've always been decently easy to DNA, but I assume this is tightening as well. It's a shame as there isn't much in the way of "huge furniture marketplace" out there to hit, so it's hard to branch out.

I've seen some "private" chatter about "private methods" as well around Tele, but no idea what they could possibly be. I'm assuming it's some form of FTID - because if it's not DNA/PEB/Damaged, there's not really that much it could be with Wayfair.

I plan to place another order or two with them this week/next regardless of the talks I've heard of them cracking down, so we shall see.
The just I get is that they're definitely cracking down a bit - considering they were pretty much infinitely loose with refunds before - but they're still very much doable, you just have to put some effort into it. I'm hoping that's the case, but will report back either way!

As long as there's a human element handling the claim, there'd always be a way to penetrate their defence.

It applies to each and every company.
