File Hash Checker - Verify Virus Scans - MD5/SHA1/SHA256 - BreShiE - 08-04-2013

We all know this major problem of people posting false virus scans, right? The average person doesn't know how to check the hashes on virus scans to verify it's the same program, so here with HashCheckSum you can easily find the file hash to check it against a virus scan!

With this program, you can check the hash of the virus scan against the given program in the download link. If the hashes match, it's the same program that was scanned and therefore has a legit outcome of the scan (whether that be good or bad).

My questions are:

How does it handle large files, and are the resulting hashes always going to be the same as the ones produced on the virus scan?

All hashing algorithms are the same, there should be no differences. I'm assuming he's using a StreamReader, in which case they can handle files within a reasonable time of 200MB at a maximum. Anything more and it takes forever. Regardless, with the purpose imposed by the program, most scanners have a reasonable limit (most I've seen is 64MB).
