Amazon AMD CPU SE - Gertzerroz - 01-07-2023

Hello, I'm in the process of SE'ing an AMD CPU from Amazon. I talked to an Amazon rep and said the CPU itself was missing ( I carefully removed the sticker so well that it's fully intact and resealed after removing the CPU). The rep said they'd have to have another department contact me within 24 hours. I received the reply below. I need some advice. I heard they'll decline a claim if there's a variation of the weight of the item so I weighed the CPU and put an equal weight of random misc new components like some motherboard accessories. Should I proceed with the return with the motherboard accessories or remove them and send the empty box? Also when I try to return the item it asks me if the item is factory sealed or opened what should I put? Thanks!

"Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the problem you've had with your Order # (hidden for confidentiality).

To be eligible for a refund, we ask that you return the " AMD CPU" you ordered within 30 days of the date you received it.

To return the item, go to our Online Returns Center:

URL to amazon returns ( can't post url for amazon returns due to spam requirements)

Please note that we’re unable to further assist without first receiving the return.

We hope to see you again soon."

I was wondering about the answers to your questions too. That's why I'm following the thread. Thank you to all those who have already responded.

In what world would you replace the CPU with a random part AFTER you told the rep the box was empty? Just send the empty box back.

Are you referring to the boxing method?

No, I claimed the CPU was missing from the box. Should I use boxing method or just send original packaging with the missing CPU?

That's what I'm questioning.

Are you sending the box back with signs of tampering?

Is It the sealed box method you'll be using?
