Use that as a light source! Even a simple dark gray gradient layer set on 'linear dodge (add)' should do the trick (but make sure you create a new layer for this). It's a little monotonous for my liking, as red and black aren't exactly "popping" colors, so you should introduce some complimentary color into there. Red works quite nicely with a soft orange or strong gold color, so maybe try adding a few more grunge brushes behind your current ones using those colors.
