War of Faith [WIP] - Chalant - 07-31-2013

Please note, this is a work in progress. I don't expect this to be anywhere near ready, even for an alpha test, for another 6 months or so. If this is in the wrong section, please let me know via a private message (although this seems like the most suitable section.)

What is it?
War of Faith (as it's been dubbed, may be changed later), is a 3D RPG I've been working on for some time now. Development of the engine started November 9th, 2012 (a week after some friends and I started drawing some concept art for what we were hoping to accomplish). The core is programmed in C++, and all basic functions are done through this. The majority of the programming for in-game functions and actions though, are done in a specialised script language called "ChalScript", which is a programming language developed specifically for this game. It is similiar to the structure of C and Python.

Background
In War of Faith, there will be 4 clans, with each representing a deity the player wishes to represent. You choose your clan upon creating your character, and this affects you in PvP combat. Players may choose to attack those in other clans whenever the please, provided it is in a PvP designated area (many areas that allow PvP will also be home to bosses with excellent rewards).

Want to contribute?
Anyone who feels the want to, may submit their own maps to be implemented into the game. This could be quest areas, dungeons, fields, anything your mind can think of. I would prefer it if you designed them via SketchUp, as it allows me to get a more realistic feel for what I should be adding. (http://www.sketchup.com/). Anyone who's map is implemented in the game, will of course, receive full credits for the design of said map. Once you have a map set out and modelled, send it to me via private message on these forums.

RE: War of Faith [WIP] - Eternity - 07-31-2013

The concept looks pretty good.
However the screenshot says "Kill me please" Just kidding it's pretty decent for an indie game.

Good luck with the project Smile

I've offered my musical talents to the other game that's apparently being developed here.
If you need someone to compose and perform a score, I could do it.

Although all my music is performed electronically, I have made authentic-sounding music before.
