Successful SE Amazon MacBook & Switch - lilggg - 12-30-2022
First timer successfully SE'd a MacBook and Switch from Amazon. 11 Days from ordering and receiving full refund. From UK.
Tried to DNA with OTP which failed, then tried empty box method which resulted in me making a police report and Amazon approving a refund.
The longest part was getting Amazon to actually verify the police report (had to go through 5-10 CS associates) other than that it was smooth sailing.
Initially I only wanted to SE the MacBook but got greedy and lucky with the Switch.

Empty box with Macbook ? The macbook is too heavy for the EB no?

Hi, I am trying to SE a GPU right now (also my first time doing SE). How did the PR go? Did the police have to confirm anything with you? Did you have to provide the Amazon CS associate a link or something?

I thought that too but from my experience I think there's two possibilities with empty box:
1) You can either make it out to seem if it was Amazon's fault for giving you an empty box.
2) Make it out as if it was stolen and you was left with a empty box at your front door. (I used this method).

PR very simple, took me less than 5 minutes to fill out online and sent same day to Amazon CS. Eventually the police to reply with a crime reference number which needs to verified on Amazon's side before they can continue with the refund.
Police only need to review + complete the report before it can be verified on Amazon's side as they don't accept 'pending' reports. And you will either be told to email the PR or give them crime reference so they will call the police and validate themselves.
Only time I spoke to the police was because the weren't cooperating with Amazon associates, in attempt to speed up the process I spoke with an officer about my PR. Nothing to worry about though.

What other companies and the methods to SE them. I’ve only ever known Amazon.
Meta quest, steam deck, Nike, apple store. A few on my mind.
