Help returning item - buyers remorse - Apple Macbook - upperad - 12-27-2022 Hi guys, I recently bought an Apple MacBook but really don't like it. The retailer is telling me that I need to have the item repaired by the manufacturer and only then am I allowed a refund if that fails. I contacted Apple and got them to confirm the "fault" in an email that they sent to the retailer. After this was sent I was hoping they would say that they would accept the return and refund me but they're saying since the item is over 30 days old and within 6 months of purchase, a repair is the only way. I told them that the screen is going off intermittently. The retailer said I would need a Work Order Form from Apple to prove the repair and issue. I've checked Google and found some photos of these but unsure of all the part numbers etc. Can anyone offer me any suggestions? Ultimately I need this returned and refunded. It was purchased on finance so a chargeback isn't possible and this cost almost £2k. Thank you. RE: Help returning item - buyers remorse - Apple Macbook - Food8423 - 12-27-2022 Mate this is going to be tough, I was in the same position with a legit problem with my iPhone that was 2 days out of warranty, apple would look at it and wrote a report for it for the manufacturer saying the fault would have been there when the phone was made not through wear and tear, took weeks of fighting with the retailer and threatened court action and then they finally gave me a new iPhone, As your MacBook is all working, apple will test it but won’t lie on the report so I think your screwed, why not do an insurance claim on the item then you’ll have 2 sell both clear the debt? Totally render the MacBook non-functional (beyond repair), and allow the manufacturer to try and fix It - which obviously he won't be able to. A refund will then be generated by the retailer. |
