Need advice on amazon.de return - vojciech - 12-23-2022

I have an aged account since 2019, I made over 10 orders on it for a total amount of ~ 1300Euro. Now I'm ordering m2 disk and processor (700euro), I'm wondering what method to use. The supplier is DHL and requires OTP.  Can DNA be done if OTP is required? I will listen to your advice

I've been out of SE for a bit. What is OTP?

If this is something that would prove delivery then DNA is likely to be out of the question. Next simplest idea would be to simply perform a DNA for one of the particular items to cut cost, OR perform a DNA via empty box to imply that the box was tampered with. That depends largely on how much DHL takes photos of deliveries in Germany and the existing condition of the parcel. Given that DHL is the commercial parcel branch of Deutsche Post I imagine they may take things more seriously there.

Maybe useful information will be that I ordered from German amazon for Polish territory

OTP - One Time Password that is given by Amazon before the package arrives, the person has to have that OTP code to get the package from the courier, if you will not give him the OTP code, he will not give you the package. So you can't say that it didn't arrive because you gave the code to the courier to get the package from him.

I don't know if DNA would work, the CPU and the m.2 ssd are quite light. You could try Empty Box method.

In terms of EB'ing the CPU, be sure It's not visible externally without opening the box.

The processor is visible only because the package is damaged. The courier didn't ask for the code, he just asked for the surename

In that case I imagine you may be in the clear. I had no clue they began doing OTP so that certainly makes things complicated.

Is there a product range otp is more common for? Is it more common place for certain countries and above what threshold usually?
Never had it before but don't much from them these days.

There are no hard and fast rules.

An OTP can be requested for Items as low as 50$. Obviously the higher the value, the more likely It will require an OTP.
