need help with Amazon Refund (PR) - KattSavage - 12-20-2022 trying to refund a 4090, Amazon rep immediately went to PR (expected, high demand high ticket item) account is legitimate, old, lots of legitimate orders, few refunds over the course of years had to sign for it, just told Amazon the box was empty except for weird packaging and a bag, FedEx marked the weight at 8lbs so I have no idea how to substitute 8lbs I don’t have a problem filing PR, but what should I expect outside of paperwork? located in US RE: need help with Amazon Refund (PR) - mothered - 12-20-2022 Quote:just told Amazon the box was empty except for weird packaging and a bag, FedEx marked the weight at 8lbsThat's the gross/shipping weight. How heavy Is the GPU Itself? Without answering my question, It's way too heavy to EB. Quote:had to sign for itGiven an OTP wasn't required, you should've DNA'd It. How heavy Is the GPU Itself? Unfortunately in the last few months amazon has really cracked down. I have done tons of SE on amazon over the years. DNA could be worth attempting but the value is probably too high. But with your account being nicely aged with lots of legit orders it certainly is possible. Item is too heavy for EB. Even with a PR i sount they will rule in your favor. Although something you could try is just throwing your old gpu in the box the 4090 came in. Snapping some pictures. Then telling them the wrong item was in the box and sending them the pictures in the form they will ask you to fill out. LIT works very well on amazon. Or at least it did. Problem is now anything over a certain value they won't offer printable labels anymore... something I just discovered myself a few days ago as I hadn't hit amazon in a few months. Regardless make sure you call to do the SE. Amazon reps read chat logs. I already said I received the box (+ the signature on delivery) but only vaguely described the item itself was missing RE: need help with Amazon Refund (PR) - mothered - 12-21-2022 (12-20-2022, 03:48 PM)KattSavage Wrote: someone else at my residence signed for it unfortunatelyAs per your comment below, It reads as though you've signed for It. Did you mention the package condition at any point? Their response will determine whether the damaged package method should be used.
