In-store Apple EB - Jasondaws712 - 12-16-2022
Hi there,
I bought an Apple Watch Ultra from my local Apple Store yesterday. I plan to go back and say the box was empty as I've heard a few people have had success with an in-store empty box method.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips? Is this method likely to succeed?

UPDATE: SE was a success; interestingly enough they said they’d never had this happen before. They took the box to the back for about 20 minutes and came back out with a new Apple Watch for me

I think it’s possible but your se skills are going to have to be top notch, plus all dependant on who you get

Sure. I'd like to say I've a few tricks up my sleeve. To be honest, as long as I get confirmation from someone that it's possible for the box to be empty, then I'm happy to do what it takes to get a refund.

Everything is possible, I would probably just do a online order instead way easier to do empty box elsewhere then direct with apple

Agreed, however I'm currently in the process of a DNA with Apple, plus I've already purchased the Apple Watch yesterday.

I understand what you're saying, but as far as I'm aware this can and does legitimately happen from time to time, therefore I don't see why my case should be an exception.

All I can say is goodluck and let us know how you get on, I think the faster you go back the better and make sure you have a decent story why you’ve came back the day after purchasing and so on

Since your taking the box in with you won’t this have the serial number written on so they could give you another and block the other one?

Be sure to remain adamant about opening the box and the watch was missing.
