Identified potential Amazon SE method by accident - EquitableEngineer - 12-09-2022 So I am ageing a few accounts right now by buying items that i legitimately want. One of said items i wanted to do a genuine return on like a good boy so i initiated the returns process and chose the option for returning with no box or label, you just need your QR code to drop it off at the return location. So i went to one yesterday and their machine wasnt working, i went to a different one today and despite being at the correct place the guy in the shop was adamant that they do not do returns and was extremely rude in the process. Now on to the method... I went to CS to complain about what happened and hopefully have Amazon prevent the shop from providing any more Amazon related services. In this process they said they would escalate the complaint to the relevant team and then said we still want to take 'full responsibility for issue'. To that end they offered me a full refund without the need to return the item essentially SEing themselves as I did not even bring up a refund. I declined the refund because it was for an item less than 25, no sense in adding another refund on the account for such a low amount and hurting my chances of a bigger one later. I am assuming the reason they were so readily willing to offer me a refund was because of the low amount so the question then is what might the upper limit be for this method ? Anyone have any experience with this or care to speculate ? I seriously doubt that if the item was worth say 300 that I would have had the same outcome. RE: Identified potential Amazon SE method by accident - Endeavor - 12-09-2022 Recently photoshopped a fragile item as damaged, it was around $60. They refunded me instantly. Usually with items shipped and sold by Amazon, they tend to be a bit lenient. Other than that, 3rd party sellers tend to get involved so it gets more strict. I think if its shipped and sold by Amazon, you can usually get away without returning with items less than $100. Won't work for apple items I believe. This is all a speculation from my experience. The cost of freight, manpower and administration costs, Is not worth having the Item returned. |
