MacBook Pro SE Options? - AmazonPrime - 11-15-2022

Wanting to SE a M1 Mac pro. I'm not familiar with Apple's policies and I don't want to use Amazon as I'm currently proceeding with an expensive SE with them.

I could try stores like best buy, Walmart, or even apple. Does anyone have experience with SEing a product similar to the M1 Mac pro? What SE method (DNA, EB, FTID, etc..) works best for a laptop like this?

As always, appreciate you all Smile

Quote:DNA
Not Apple.

They tend to release themselves from liability and ask you to deal directly with the carrier.

Quote:EB
Way too heavy.

Quote:FTID
Disregard It for obvious reasons.

I’m in the same boat as you. Currently narrowing down my list by looking at Apple authorized resellers i.e. Amazon, Walmart, Target etc.

I’m for sure ruling out Amazon because of OTP and Walmart because they’ll most likely require a pr and I’ve already filed one within the last 3 months. Might take a look at Target and read their policy more in depth, but B&H is lookin’ kinda juicy tbh.

There’s not much info on this site in terms of high value items requiring a pr, but I do know that they make you sign an affidavit which I personally have no problem doing. I’m assuming a pr might be requested regardless of who the seller is since the item is ~2-3k. @mothered do you have any information regarding how B&H handle high value items?

I hadn't even considered B&H, not a bad idea. I did some reading and I found this information that might be useful

"Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise"

I wonder if DNA or EB would work well with this company. But I also fear that they'd ask for a PR.

Put simply, It states that you must claim missing goods within 2 business days.

Given they're liable, there's every reason why It should work.

Have you already filed a number of PRs?

I’m leaning towards DNA because they require a signature at the time of delivery.

If they require a signature the DNA is gonna be harder (not impossible tho)

I had the same thread open. An account in any decent standing with BestBuy should work fairly easily. Order it, claim DNA, you get shipped another, refund one of them. Their TOS seems like one of the most relaxed ones I've seen so far.

Yeah, I've filed 1 PR this month for an amazon order. So if they ask for a PR i'd just have to return the product.

A useless form of verification.

Anyone could've signed, even the carrier driver, so fake It.
