Instant Refunds (using Insider Carrier Scans) - SUPlVBPMa - 11-05-2022

So, loads of refund services and boxing services now seem to offer services surrounding this practice, that involves manipulating tracking to show that an item has been damaged whilst en-route to the customer. If I'm not mistaken, then does this not mean that - since the item will ultimately still be delivered to the address on the consignment - the tracking will be updated to show that, despite the evident damage (that, apparently, often gets marked as "returned to sender" and results in the order being cancelled) actually arrived at the customer's address? Wouldn't it then be VERY easy for fraud prevention departments to dish out rebills and whatnot when these things happen?

Are refund services really milking their customers knowing they might ultimately be screwing them over big time?

As I understand their service, the tracking will always say damaged and rts and it can still be delivered. After it is delivered, the tracking will not update and the seller will not receive any thing in return.

I heard that for example Amazon was going Detective Pikachu on these RTS claims cause people have been abusing it and some people got re billed. So yeah was wondering the same on how "safe" this method is long term.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't permanently say "damaged and returned to sender". It probably says damaged and returned to sender at some point, but then it keeps getting updated as the parcel makes its way to the destination, otherwise people wouldn't get their orders.

Multiple methods. With varying degrees of success. It's generally not through an insider though. Would be too bait for an employee to be doing that amount of editing to tracking a day unless he wants to end up behind bars.

Mind sharing some of your knowledge or pointing us in the right direction?

It varies with the courier too. For some you will need direct access to their equipment. So you'd have to pay a driver to sell you their PDA for example. Costly and hard to come by.
