Tire Se - Itree1986 - 10-27-2022 I was wondering if anyone has any experience with getting tires from discount tire through their replacement policy. I bought all new tires about 6 months ago but also paid extra for the replacement/ warranty and would like to take advantage of this. I was considering just pulling over somewhere hidden a little ways away from discount tire and putting large holes in the center tread or something and then go to a different location and maybe do them 2 at a time or something but interested if any one is familiar with this type of SE. Thanks for any insight and your time. RE: Tire Se - AllWrappedUp - 10-27-2022 Interested in this, haven’t heard of anyone trying to SE a tire company lol. Please update me if you proceed OP. Once It's established, It'll allow you to make an Informed decision on the best course of action with the SE. Be sure to read the fine print for any exclusions. From what i have gathered the tires have to have more than 30% tread or be newer than 3 years they can not be damaged by any act of vandalism... such as in the side wall etc. and that was about the meat of the fine print that i was able to gather. i was really hoping someone had done this before and they would have experience in this, but i guess i can be the pioneer if need be.. im going to try it at some point. i was thinking of trying maybe a piece of angle iron or something really sturdy that should pierce the tire and stick in it so i could i drive say a mile or so to the shop. i dont see why they wouldnt have to replace it as long as it looks legitimate. i mean that is the purpose of paying the extra $29 or whatever it is.
