Buying A New Version Of Something You Have, Returning The Old One - Ashitbag - 10-23-2022

I have a pretty great coffee machine that is a bit on the old side. I was thinking of buying a new version of the same model and just returning the old one in its box for a refund. What do you all think? Any foreseeable issues, or do you think that might be a good SE strategy?

How noticeable are any Imperfections?

If I clean it up it should look quite good. The most noticeable thing is a slight chip in the silver on the De'Longhi logo on the main console. I will go in store and ask can it only be returned unused.. If I can return it after use I think I can get away with saying I used it for a few weeks and was not happy with it.

Depending on the extent of the damage, you can probably touch It up with silver/grey paint.

Brown Thomas. Fairly big brand. Didn't see anything about the company on here though.

I've never dealt with them, so I'm not sure how meticulous they are with checking returns.

In case they're not easily doable, Amazon usually has no problems accepting a used return, in case they also sell the same model, and since it's a "legit" return it won't impact your account in a negative way
