DHL insurance claim - Bubbles04 - 10-17-2022

I'm currently trying to work with DHL to something refunded via shipping insurance. At the time of delivery, they took a picture of the package in front of my front door and so I claimed that it wasn't my house, they then cross-referenced that with a google maps image of my house and pointed out that the front door was indeed my house. Am I able to make them think that it isn't my house? like what do I say?

So did they purely dump the package at your doorstep and took a photo thereafter, without any other form of delivery verification?

May I ask why?

I thought that if there was a signature involved, it might mean more confirmation of the delivery which would make it harder to get a refund.

But now it's you who instructed them to leave the parcel there, in front of your door, even if unattended.
As part of the "no contact delivery", it was your duty to collect the box asap to avoid theft.

Right now I'm trying to tell them that the picture of the package in front of my door is in fact not my house, but I don't know how I should go about saying that,

I get what you're saying here, but I've also opted for no contact with various companies and have had the DNA be successful.

Is this your first time dealing with DHL at all? Have you ever received anything else from them? I'd say if so, then they could use that as evidence of it being your home. I had a case a few weeks ago with New Balance that denied my DNA claim with UPS because there was a picture of it being in front of my house and I was thinking to say that isn't my house, but I've had dealings with UPS before so that would've automatically gotten declined in a sense I feel.

Are there any distinct markings that can conclusively Identify It's your house In the photo?
