Using the boxing method for one item out of many? - rhinofino - 08-27-2022

Sorry if the title is a bit misleading. What I'm asking is, is the boxing method viable for a package that I've received with multiple items.

I bought two shoes and two pieces of clothing, I'm wanting to use the box method where I return the two clothes, the other shoes and then the empty box where the shoes I have taken for myself.

Does the boxing method work when it's a multiple item order? Do shoes work with the boxing method? Obviously I'll make a hole in the return box with other tap so it looks like it's been tampered with, use other tape to make it look even more tampered, make sure it's the same weight as if the shoes were in the box itself.

Is there anything I'm missing? Will this work? Any help would be appreciated

Yes.

Someone (apparently) ripped open the box/package and took just the one Item.

The dimensions are a little large, hence you'd need to keep signs of tampering to a minimum - just so It Isn't noticed In the early stages of transit.

You've covered the lot.

So the way I'm looking at this SE is to try and visualise how someone would open the box, take the shoes, leave in something in the box and then tape it up again.

I'm going to angle the "tear" in the box to where the shoe box is easily accessible to open and take the shoes out.

I'll do a clean cut on the box's side, use different coloured tape while also trying to make it seem like it's not been tampered too much with.

Would beating up the box a bit show that it's been thrown about with the courier and thus looks more suspect that its been tampered with? Thanks!

Don't mess around with the condition of the box.

The last thing you need, Is for the carrier to notice It at the collection point and raise a damage report, thereby It will release them from liability.
