NSP to bump - Defeat - 08-22-2022
NSP to bump threads. Last one, I promise. I remember there being a thread on proper bumping procedure but I can't find it.
I know this one is not custom to any 1 forum because I've seen quite a few forums use points for bumping.
IDK if it can a feature of the NSP plugin we use.
Adding an option for the user to bump a thread once every 24 hours would allow members to not spam their own threads - push it to the top for new opinions, new views, etc... It'll be good for marketplace and support threads (which covers so many different sections here)
Also double posting is just so ugly, hate that shit.

It's not a problem and we added filters for anyone that gets annoyed. I don't want sellers to have to shitpost so they can bump their sales thread. Plenty of them buy upgrades or stickies and there's no issue with them dropping in to leave a "bump".

I wouldn't feel bad for a non-contributing member coming here just to post sales thread and only coming back to bump sales threads getting the boot.
If they contribute by upgrading or buying stickies/ads and using the upgraded section, sure. Others gotta contribute another way (in this case, posting and getting NSP like the rest of us).

For every person that complains about post requirements and "25 post count" spam, there's someone that wants to gatekeep content behind post count and NSP.
There's no way to make everyone happy, so I have done as I prefer. We already have a bunch of porn-starved idiots spamming to get in, we don't need to add desperate sellers to the list.
