Similar item method - GPU - Bruhmomento1337 - 08-16-2022 Howdy folks I am looking at pulling off a similar item method with a 3070 ti for a 3080, the 3070 ti looks exactly the same as the 3080 and it has the exact same dimensions though lighter by 140 grams or so, would it be a viable way to replace the stickers on the back of my 3070 ti with the 3080 and returning it in the 3080 package? I don't think they'll bother testing the product just look at it and restock RE: Similar item method - GPU - Jidxja - 08-17-2022 That's a very good question, following this post to see if anyone knows better than me, you made me curious now haha RE: Similar item method - GPU - mothered - 08-17-2022 Who's the company? Actually there's a small variance in the microchips on the backside of it which could be detected if the rep compares pictures with the original one https://imgur.com/a/ZrVWtSP RE: Similar item method - GPU - mothered - 08-17-2022 (08-17-2022, 05:47 AM)Bruhmomento1337 Wrote: Who else could it be other than amazon xdAny one of thousands of online stores. On a serious note, I certainly agree with what you've said. Do note that Amazon have been thoroughly checking returns In the past few months, thereby there's every chance they'll Identify the wrong Item. Moreover, It's their policy to dispose of Incorrect returns, which means you'll lose your GPU for good. |
