SE a smartphone without it being imei blocked? - GeorgeKaz - 08-04-2022

Hi all,

Has anyone got any experience SEing a smartphone from, say, Samsung or a similar company in the UK without it being imei blocked? I know smartphones are kinda difficult to SE for this reason. Any advice or success stories would be appreciated.

Thanks,

G

Do note that Amazon blacklists IMEIs In the UK.

Not the UK, but apple in US was very exposed a month or two ago, I hit them for an EB for an iphone and it didn't get imei blocked.

Interesting, thanks both.

I've read about another member successfully using EB on Samsung for a phone about 18 months ago. I'm looking at an S22+ but they're 196 grams. Seems a little heavy to EB to me?

Yes It's too heavy, particularly If an external Investigation Is opened and the weight Is cross-checked with the carrier.

Which company are you specifically looking to SE?

My options seem to be either Samsung or Curry's. Too heavy for EB. I could order one and see what happens with the delivery - DNA could be an option depending on what the courier does?

If only a signature Is required on delivery, the DNA Is good to go.

You're welcome.

We shall await the latest developments.

A development:

"In regards to your enquiry about your Sony order UK00017967, kindly be informed that it has been confirmed by our relevant internal team that packaging was sealed and not damaged. Accordingly, it is impossible for the earbuds not to be present as warehouse wouldn’t open the case."

They sent me photos that the warehouse packer took when preparing the order. The photos simply show the outside packaging, not the earphones or the case as the packaging is not see-through.

Stick to the story? They aren't there?

Thanks
